Saturated-steam autoclave technology for the elimination of microorganisms. Precise control of the pressure-temperature relationship that ensures deep thermal penetration in any type of instrument and guarantees total sterility in chemical, clinical and industrial laboratories.
We manufacture every GMP autoclave under strict quality standards, complying with the EN 285 standard and FDA requirements. This facilitates approval of audits in the pharmaceutical and food industries and provides full assistance with IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols.
Selecta autoclaves incorporate advanced microprocessors (PLC) and touch screens (TFT) that enable real-time monitoring of every cycle phase. This enables full traceability through digital data recording and export, ensuring repeatability and safety in every sterilisation.
Pharmaceutical industry. We ensure the sterilisation of materials and validation of processes under GMP compliance.
Hospitals and clinics. Our autoclaves ensure maximum hygiene for surgical instruments, textiles and dressing materials.
Food industry. Adapted to pasteurisation and sterilisation processes for preserves and packaging.
Universities and research. We provide reliable equipment for culture media and teaching laboratories.
Manufactured in Spain, JP Selecta autoclaves and sterilisers are technical solutions that optimise time, safety and regulatory compliance in the laboratory.
Our autoclaves with integrated ST DRY technology combine fractionated vacuum drying, heat drying and radiation drying. It completely eliminates residual moisture in porous materials, textiles and complex instruments, leaving the load ready for immediate use.
Our industrial and specialised laboratory autoclaves use compressed-air counterpressure systems that prevent deformation or breakage of containers and avoid accidental projections when opening the chamber.
For dry-heat sterilisation processes above 160 °C, JP Selecta offers these laboratory ovens.
Most of our models feature PLC control that records every variable in the cycle. We offer total traceability through data export via USB or Ethernet in CSV and PDF formats, supporting the generation of automatic reports for audits and regulations.
Do you need advice to choose a laboratory autoclave? Our technical-commercial team will help you select the right model according to your applications, workload and regulatory requirements.
A laboratory autoclave is a sterilisation device that uses high-pressure, high-temperature steam to eliminate microorganisms, spores and viruses. It is mainly used in the pharmaceutical, food, research and healthcare industries to sterilise instruments, culture media, containers and biological waste, ensuring a safe and contaminant-free working environment.
The main difference lies in capacity and space. A benchtop autoclave is compact (8 L to 28 L), easy to install and does not require water connection, ideal for clinics and small laboratories. A vertical autoclave offers greater capacities (up to 150 L) and can process larger volumes or complex materials thanks to advanced technologies such as fractionated vacuum or fast cooling systems.
To ensure process safety and validity, a laboratory autoclave must comply with the European standard EN 285 (for large steam autoclaves) and, in regulated environments, with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA directives. The manufacturer must also provide IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols to ensure the equipment operates according to technical and legal specifications.
Certified calibration is recommended at least once a year, or more frequently in laboratories under strict regulations. Calibration ensures that the temperature and pressure sensors maintain the traceability required for critical processes. You can request this specialised service in our laboratory calibration section.
Preventive maintenance includes periodic cleaning of the chamber, inspection of the door gasket and replacement of biological filters. Regular maintenance avoids unplanned stops and extends the service life of the equipment. Our team offers technical support and maintenance plans to ensure optimal performance of your autoclaves.
Yes, our advanced models (such as the Autester ST DRY GMP series) incorporate the Fast Cooling system. Thanks to a vacuum pump we force cool air from outside in and expel hot air from inside, creating a continuous airflow that quickly dissipates heat.
We have specific models with compressed-air counterpressure technology such as Autester ST DRY GMP/USB and Steril Press. This system is essential for sterilisation of liquids in sealed containers (such as serum bags or vials), as it compensates the internal pressure of the container during heating and cooling, preventing deformation, breakage or explosions.
Yes. Our Autester ST DRY models feature a powerful vacuum drying system with a double-stage pump. This process removes air from the chamber before sterilisation (fractionated vacuum) and extracts residual moisture at the end, leaving porous materials, textiles and complex instruments completely dry.
Total duration depends on the load, the program and the selected temperature (typically 121 °C or 134 °C). A standard cycle can last between 20 and 60 minutes, plus heating, pressure equalisation and cooling times. Using systems such as vacuum drying or fast cooling can significantly reduce the total cycle time.
Our autoclaves reach working temperatures of up to 134 °C - 135 °C (approximately 2.1 bar of pressure). This range allows compliance with the most demanding sterilisation protocols, ensuring elimination of pathogenic agents in the shortest possible time for applications on both solids and liquids.
