JP Selecta laboratory baths provide high-fidelity thermostatic control for critical processes of incubation, enzymatic reactions, paraffin melting, sample defrosting and stability testing.
Our range includes more than 50 specialised models that adapt to any experimental protocol. It covers from the conventional laboratory water bath and advanced sand-bath systems for high temperatures, to the thermostatic laboratory bath with internal forced circulation (uniformity up to ±0.1 °C) and industrial refrigerated units that cover working ranges from -20 °C to +200 °C.
All our devices are built with AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel chambers stamped without welds, and incorporate intelligent digital PID control, programmable timer and advanced protection systems against over-temperature or dry running under strict biological and industrial safety standards.
The choice of an efficient laboratory bath depends directly on the demands of the test protocol. The catalogue is structured into specific families according to the required thermal range, the need for constant flow agitation, active cooling or automated ultrasonic cleaning.
Product line that integrates the digital water and oil Precisdig models, the forced-recirculation system Agibat-20 and the high-volume industrial Precisbig equipment.
Versatile capacities from 5 L to 220 L, temperature ranges from +5 °C to +99.9 °C or 200 °C depending on the conductive fluid.
Their main technical advantage lies in their thermal stability of up to ±0.1 °C. They are used preferentially as a water bath for enzymology, serology and pharmaceutical quality control.
Univeba and Precisterm series, along with the specialised Termofin (paraffin bath) model. They cover volumes from 1.3 to 45 litres, reaching maximum temperatures of 110 °C using water or up to 200 °C as an oil bath.
They are the standard solution for routine reagent defrosting, thermal support in rotary evaporators and the preparation of media.
Ultrasons series (HD, Digit and Ultrasons-P). With capacities from 1.4 to 30 litres, high-power washing frequency of 42 kHz and digital temperature regulation up to 80 °C.
Applications in laboratories for degassing of liquids, acceleration of chemical reactions, cell disruption and deep cleaning of sieves, micropipettes and dental or optical instruments.
Unitronic Vaivén C series and VB-1423 calibration systems. With capacities from 20 to 27 litres, operating at temperatures from 0 °C to 100 °C. They incorporate a hermetic compressor unit free of CFCs.
Applications in biological cultures of critical thermostability (moulds and yeasts) and official calibrations of glass viscometers in accordance with international standards ISO 3105 and ASTM D 445.

The engineering applied in our thermostatic equipment guarantees maximum instrumental repeatability and protects the integrity of the user's samples.
The digital PID controllers in the thermoregulated bath guarantee stable and precise thermal regulation (±0.05 °C), eliminating the oscillations typical of ON/OFF systems. The display shows real temperature and set-point, and advanced models include RS-232 connectivity for integration with LIMS systems.
The standard series incorporate AISI 304 steel chambers stamped in a single piece, without joints or welds, to avoid leaks and facilitate hygienisation. Components of ultrasonic baths exposed to more aggressive fluids or acid reagents are built with high-resistance AISI 316 stainless steel.
To mitigate the risk of structural damage to the INCOLOY-alloy shielded heating elements caused by involuntary evaporation of the conductive fluid, all equipment is designed under strict DIN 12877 international standards. The electronic level-detection system immediately cuts heating and lights up specific warning indicators in case of liquid shortage or accidental over-temperature.
JP Selecta stands out by offering more than 50 models in its catalogue, allowing laboratories to unify their thermostatic systems (water, oil, sand and ultrasonic) under a single technical brand.
This drastically simplifies annual calibration plans, the acquisition of compatible accessories and optimises the centre's technical maintenance service.
In addition, our products include calibration and repair services under warranty.
Our team of specialised commercial engineers will help you assess capacity, temperature range and the type of agitation or recirculation that optimises your laboratory's productivity.
The conventional water bath transmits temperature statically through water or oil by natural convection, suitable for general heating processes. By contrast, a circulating thermostatic bath incorporates active mechanical recirculation pumps (such as the Agibat-20 model) that force fluid movement, guaranteeing stability of up to ±0.1 °C and eliminating any thermal gradient within the chamber.
Ultrasonic baths fulfil a triple function in the modern laboratory: microscopic, non-abrasive cleaning of complex instruments (micropipettes, optical components or sieves); rapid degassing of liquids and organic solvents intended for high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis; and controlled acceleration of chemical reactions or cell disruption processes.
For routine experimental work operating between ambient temperature and 99.9 °C, distilled water is used as the thermal medium. However, if the assay requires temperatures up to 200 °C continuously, the equipment must be configured as an oil bath using specialised synthetic silicone fluids of high density, which provide high boiling points and avoid the risks derived from water boiling.
Capacity depends on the volume and number of samples to be processed simultaneously. JP Selecta baths range from 2 L (individual use) to 200 L (multi-sample processing). Allow a 30 % additional margin over the real sample volume. If you need technical advice, consult with our experts.
