JP Selecta laboratory refrigerated cabinets provide temperature-controlled storage for reagents, biological samples, culture media, vaccines and reference standards requiring stable conditions between -40 °C and +15 °C. Unlike domestic equipment, laboratory cabinets incorporate a high-performance compressor optimized for continuous operation, high-density polyurethane foam insulation, electronic temperature control with 0.1 °C resolution and data logging systems with deviation alarms. Construction specifications follow the requirements of the German standard DIN 13277:2022 on refrigerators and freezers for medical and laboratory applications (successor to DIN 58345 and DIN 58371, withdrawn in 2022).

The range includes positive refrigeration cabinets (+2 to +15 °C) for routine reagents and samples, low-temperature freezers (-25 to -40 °C) for biological samples and plasma, blood bank cabinets with specific temperature profile (+4 °C ±1 °C) and vaccine cabinets with PQS conformity. Cold chain preservation in immunization programs follows the performance specifications of the WHO PQS E003 - Refrigerators and Freezers category of the WHO prequalification program.

Applications cover storage of heat-sensitive chemical reagents, clinical sample preservation, blood banking compliant with AABB Standards for Blood Banks and Transfusion Services, vaccine preservation per the WHO guide on selection and procurement of blood cold chain equipment and storage of analytical standards in pharmaceutical laboratories. Temperature traceability is essential for cold chain integrity.

Regarding regulatory compliance, JP Selecta cabinets meet the general electrical safety requirements of IEC 61010-1 and the medical laboratory quality requirements of ISO 15189:2022. Blood bank models also meet the continuous temperature monitoring specifications of the WHO PQS Performance Specifications program. Each unit is delivered with an initial thermal mapping certificate.
