JP Selecta laboratory shakers and stirrers deliver homogeneous mixing of liquids, suspensions and emulsions with precise control of speed and temperature. The range covers magnetic stirrers with and without heating (up to 350 °C), orbital shakers for cell cultures, reciprocating shakers and vortex mixers for test tubes.

All models integrate a brushless motor for continuous, maintenance-free operation, IP21 protection and rugged construction for intensive use.

Types of laboratory shakers and stirrers

Our complete instrumental mixing line covers every operating need in research and analytical control environments. Engineered to strict robustness and precision guidelines, we provide several shaker types tailored to the viscosity, volume and vessel of each sample: magnetic (with and without heating), orbital, vortex, rotary, rocking and overhead stirrers.

Magnetic stirrers (Agimatic and Multimatic)

Compact units without heating for stirring low-viscosity fluids, with speeds from 40 to 1700 rpm and capacities up to 10 litres.

Available in single and multi-position versions, they integrate PTFE-coated magnets and spill-protection systems for safe, efficient laboratory use.

Heated magnetic stirrers

Shielded heating plates with uniform heat distribution. Speeds of 50–1600 rpm, capacity up to 10 L and temperature control from 30 to 350 °C (±2 °C).

Available models: Agimatic-E, Agimatic-ED, Agimatic-ED-C and multi-position Multimatic 5-N and 9-N. The Rev-TFT versions add a touchscreen, memory for 10 programmes and configurable automatic cycles.

Orbital shakers (Rotate Rm)

Uniform rotary motion at frequencies of 20–250 rpm and amplitudes of 15 or 20 mm.

The Rotabit model handles up to 30 kg of load; the Rotaterm adds a heating plate up to 250 °C (±1 °C). Both alternate between circular orbital and linear reciprocating motion.

Vortex mixers (Velp ZX)

High-speed eccentric vibration at 2800 rpm for immediate energetic mixing. The Vortex-Vib model includes dual activation (pressure or continuous run), 4 interchangeable platforms and a suction-cup base. See Vortex model.

Rotary shakers

Designed for test tubes, with frequencies of 10–80 rpm. The Orbit-II performs end-over-end agitation, indicated for cell cultures, hematology and extractions. The Movil-rod models combine rocking and rotation for sinusoidal-effect homogenisation.

Rocking shakers

Tilting platform with non-slip silicone tray at a fixed speed of 15 rpm. Movil-tub model, recommended for hematology, chemistry and microbiology.

Overhead stirrers

Electronic regulation of 60–2000 rpm, compatible with up to 10 different shaft types. SE-100 model, geared to large volumes and high-viscosity substances.
